Metaphor Studio will develop the site working closely with the Web team at the Cincinnati Opera. Utilizing Metaphor Studio's Community Experience Development™ principles the site features will include a Web-based content management system that enables the Opera staff to update the Web copy, upload and edit performance images, add additional navigation to new content and make files available for download. The agency is also working closely with the Opera's marketing department to design a Web presence that truly conveys the passion, beauty and romance of the Cincinnati Opera experience. Cincinnati Opera's 2004 Summer Festival will open with Gaetano Donizetti's bel canto comedy The Daughter of the Regiment (June 17 and 19), followed by the U.S. Premiere of Peter Bengtson's one-act opera The Maids in a new double-bill production with The Emperor of Atlantis by Viktor Ullmann (June 24 and 26). The season will close on a seductive note with three performances of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Don Giovanni (July 8, 10, and 16), and four performances of Georges Bizet's Carmen (July 17, 20, 23, and 25m). All performances take place in historic Music Hall and feature accompaniment by the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.
